If anyone does not confess that the Word, without detriment to the immutability of his divine nature, was made flesh and that from his very conception in the womb of the Virgin he united, according to hypostasis, the principles of human nature, but says that God the Word was with a preexisting man, so that, as a consequence, one cannot believe that the holy Virgin was in fact the Mother of God, but only that she is said to be such in name, let him be anathema.
